Welcome to Dallas!

Here are some of our local favorites:

  • Highland Park Village

The epicenter of Barrett's hometown, HP Village is home to amazing restaurants and luxury shopping. Park House, our Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Drinks venue, is located here! Restaurants we recommend: Honor Bar, Bistro 31, & Mi Cocina.

  • The Katy Trail

If you're looking to get a long walk in, the Katy Trail is perfect. Stop by Katy Trail Ice House for a summer beer to experience the best patio in Dallas!

  • Dallas Museum of Art

DMA is free admission, open on weekends, and down the street from the JW Marriott! Check out their website for information on the latest exhibits.

  • Odelay Tex-Mex

A staple in the (future) Barger household, Odelay has some of the best tex-mex in town! Get the Tres Enchiladas and the OG Swirl margarita - you won't regret it! No reservations needed.

  • Fachini

This authentic Italian restaurant is where Barrett and I had our second date, and where we first celebrated our engagement! Conveniently located in HP Village, it’s a great spot for dinner before the Welcome Drinks. Reservations encouraged.

  • Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden

The Dallas Arboretum is a stunning botanical garden that has consistently been voted one of the top in the world. Brianna's sister Haley and her husband David were married here, and it's the perfect place to have a beautiful fall day! You can get tickets to Autumn at the Arboretum on their website.

  • Klyde Warren Park

Looking for a place to take your kiddos during the day? Klyde Warren Park has a children’s park, splash pad, food trucks, and tons of open space. Just a short walk from the JW.

  • Terry Black's BBQ

If you want some authentic central Texas BBQ, this legendary joint is a Dallas Classic. A short drive from the JW and no reservations needed!

  • Sloane's Corner

A casual-but-chic New American Bistro in the heart of Downtown Dallas Art District, across the street from the JW and a perfect nearby dinner spot. Reservations encouraged.
